Can we imagine new digital worlds where the rules of physics are subverted? Can we bring the experience of physical reality into limitless digital spaces?
Limitless Spaces investigates how artists working in digital environments position themselves within the long-standing conversation surrounding abstraction and representation. Here, abstraction is understood as a mechanism by which "an infinite variety of experiences can be mapped on short noises" (Anatol Rapoport), while representation acts as a way to present, depict, or re-present the world by naming its elements.
Featuring artists who work with 3D scanning, 3D modeling, VR, AR, and interactive digital media, Limitless Spaces examines the current reality, future imaginings, and expanding possibilities of how we inhabit new digital landscapes—spaces that are entirely frameless, yet strictly accessible through a screen.
