Masc4Masc was a collaboration with performer Pedro Lander about the violent and oppressive concept of masculinity, promoted by the American football industry and the media. Performed during Illuminate South Loop, Bloomington, MN (US), Masc4Masc is a response to the Super Bowl LI Edition. Toxic masculinity is rooted in misogyny, taught from a young age to children, and it negatively impacting female-identified, male-identified and gender-queer individual. Masc4Masc is a wearable space that is both aggressive, protective and freed from gender constructions. Masc4Masc denounces the negative effects of the culture of violence and separation on identity.
