Florence, the capital of Tuscany, is a home for many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture. Still today it is a vibrant place where numerous artists translate traditional artistic techniques into new visual languages. Il Salotto degli Artisti provided access to a lesser known Florence that gives you the unique opportunity to take a peek into the life and studios of contemporary local artists.
Il Salotto degli Artisti was a monthly talk with Italian and International artists living in Italy and a chance to discover the most traditional and experimental laboratories of Florentine arts and crafts. Over 8 months, Curators Zoe Cinel and Giulia Angeli, engaged monthly with an artist and one artistic space. The artists presented works that ranged from traditional media such as fresco, printing and jewelry to more experimental art forms such as multimedia installation, sound and video art.
Participating artistic space:
MAD Murate Arts District, Cartavetra Gallery and Studio, Tempo Reale, Villa Romana, La Portineria, Associazione Heyart.
